Would you eat this Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf ?

Ingredients:

For the Meatloaf:

2 lbs ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 green bell pepper, finely chopped

1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese

cup grated Parmesan cheese

cup breadcrumbs or almond flour for keto

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon salt

teaspoon black pepper


teaspoon smoked paprika

For the Topping:

1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese

cup caramelized onions optional

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 375F 190C. Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

Sauté the veggies: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the onions, bell pepper, mushrooms, and garlic until softened about 5 minutes. Let cool slightly.

Prepare the meatloaf mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, sautéed vegetables, shredded provolone, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix until just combineddont overwork the meat.

Shape and bake: Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and press it evenly. Bake for 40-45 minutes.

Add the cheese topping: Remove from the oven, sprinkle shredded provolone or mozzarella over the top, and return to the oven for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Rest and serve: Let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with caramelized onions if desired. Enjoy!
