Ingredients:
For the Mushroom Patties:
2 cups button mushrooms, finely chopped
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
For the Creamy Sauce:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Burger Assembly:
4 burger buns
4 lettuce leaves
4 tomato slices
4 slices of cheddar cheese optional
Directions:
Prepare the Mushroom Patties:
In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped mushrooms, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, soy sauce, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Mix well until the mixture holds together.
Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
Make the Creamy Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
Assemble the Burgers:
Toast the burger buns lightly, if desired.
Spread the creamy sauce on the bottom half of each bun.
Layer with lettuce, a mushroom patty, a tomato slice, and cheddar cheese if using.
Add more creamy sauce on the top half of the bun and assemble the burger.
Serve and Enjoy:
Serve the burgers warm with your favorite side dishes, such as fries, coleslaw, or a fresh salad.
