Ribeye Steak Sandwich

Ingredients:

1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

teaspoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon butter

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

4 hoagie rolls or ciabatta buns

4 slices provolone cheese

For the Garlic Aioli:

cup mayonnaise

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon lemon juice

teaspoon Dijon mustard

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:


Prepare the Garlic Aioli:

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard.

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

Caramelize the Onions:

Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.

Add sliced onions and cook for 10-15 minutes until soft and golden.

Stir in balsamic vinegar and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat.

Cook the Ribeye Steak:

Season the thinly sliced ribeye with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat.

Sear the steak slices for about 2 minutes per side or until cooked to your liking.

Assemble the Sandwich:

Toast the hoagie rolls or ciabatta buns.

Spread garlic aioli on both sides of the bread.

Layer the cooked ribeye steak, caramelized onions, and provolone cheese.

If desired, place the sandwich under the broiler for 1-2 minutes to melt the cheese.
