Praline Crunch
Ingredients:
8 cups Crispix cereal
2 cups pecan halves salted
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 250ºF 120ºC.
Combine Cereal and Pecans: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Crispix cereal and pecan halves.
Make the Praline Coating: In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the vanilla extract and baking soda. Stir until fully incorporated.
Coat the Cereal Mix: Pour the praline mixture over the cereal and pecans, stirring gently to coat everything evenly.
Bake: Spread the coated cereal mixture into a 9×13-inch baking pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes to ensure even coating.
Cool and Break into Pieces: Once baked, spread the mixture on wax or parchment paper to cool completely. When cool, break it into bite-sized pieces.
