Maple Glazed Bacon Cheeseburger Poutine
Ingredients:
4 medium russet potatoes, cut into fries
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
4 slices bacon
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 cup cheese curds
1 cup beef gravy, warm
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 green onion, chopped for garnish
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425F 220C. Toss fries with olive oil, salt, and pepper, then bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy.
In a pan over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Brush with maple syrup in the last minute of cooking, then set aside on paper towels.
In the same pan, cook ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until browned.
Assemble by placing fries on a serving plate, then adding cheese curds. Top with crumbled bacon and seasoned ground beef.
Pour warm beef gravy over everything, letting the cheese curds melt slightly.
Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
