Maple Caramel Bacon Crack
Ingredients:
1 can 8 oz refrigerated crescent roll dough
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
12 oz bacon, cooked until slightly chewy and torn into pieces
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 325F 165C.
Prepare the Baking Pan:
Line a 10×15-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
Unroll the crescent roll dough onto the prepared pan, pressing the seams together to form a solid sheet.
Stretch the dough to fit the pan evenly and prick it all over with a fork.
Assemble the Topping:
Drizzle half of the maple syrup over the crescent roll dough.
Sprinkle about 1/4 cup of the brown sugar evenly over the syrup.
Distribute the torn bacon pieces over the brown sugar layer.
Drizzle the remaining maple syrup over the bacon.
Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of brown sugar on top.
Bake:
Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20-25 minutes, or until the mixture is bubbling and caramelized.
Cool and Serve:
Remove the pan from the oven and allow it to cool to room temperature or until warm to the touch.
Once cooled, cut or break into pieces.
Serve at room temperature or slightly warmed.
