Maple Caramel Bacon Crack Bites
Ingredients:
2 packages 15 count each frozen phyllo cups 30 total
1 pound regular-cut bacon any flavor preference
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 350F 175C.
Cook the Bacon:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until its nearly done but still slightly chewy.
Transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
Once cooled, chop the bacon into small pieces.
Assemble the Phyllo Cups:
Arrange the phyllo cups on a large baking sheet.
Place 1/2 teaspoon of brown sugar into each phyllo cup.
Add a small drizzle of maple syrup over the brown sugar in each cup.
Fill each cup generously with the chopped bacon, mounding it slightly.
Sprinkle a pinch of the remaining brown sugar over the top of each filled cup.
Bake:
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven.
Bake for approximately 12-15 minutes, or until the phyllo cups are crisp and the maple caramel is bubbly and caramelized.
Cool and Serve:
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the bites to cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
Enjoy these sweet, salty, and smoky treats warm.
