Honey Soy Crispy Beef and Noodles
Ingredients:
For the Crispy Beef:
1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
For the Honey Soy Sauce:
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp ginger, grated
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
1 tbsp sesame oil
For the Noodles:
8 oz egg noodles or rice noodles
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 cup green onions, sliced
1/2 cup bell peppers, thinly sliced
1 tbsp sesame seeds for garnish
Directions:
Prepare the beef: Pat the sliced steak dry and toss in cornstarch, salt, and black pepper.
Crisp the beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Cook the beef in batches until crispy and golden brown. Set aside.
Make the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes, and sesame oil.
Cook the noodles: Boil noodles according to package instructions. Drain and toss with sesame oil.
Combine everything: In the same pan, heat a little oil and sauté green onions and bell peppers for 1-2 minutes. Add the crispy beef and pour in the honey soy sauce. Stir to coat.
Serve: Place the crispy beef over the noodles, garnish with sesame seeds, and enjoy!
