Christmas Cookie Bars Holiday Magic in Every Bite!

Ingredients:

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup red and green M&Ms

1/2 cup holiday sprinkles

Directions:

Preheat and Prepare the Pan:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly for easy removal of the bars.

Combine Wet Ingredients:


In a large mixing bowl, stir together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until the mixture is smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until fully incorporated.

Mix Dry Ingredients:

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.

Add Festive Mix-Ins:

Fold in the red and green M&Ms and holiday sprinkles, saving a handful of each to decorate the top.

Spread and Top:

Evenly spread the cookie dough into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle the reserved M&Ms and sprinkles over the top for extra holiday flair.

Bake:

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the center is set. Avoid overbaking to keep the bars soft and chewy.

Cool and Cut:

Let the cookie bars cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, lift them out using the parchment paper and cut into squares or rectangles.
