Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Golden Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and cook it until it turns golden brown with a nutty aroma, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
In a large bowl, whisk together the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough per cookie and place them on the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
