Garlic Butter Surf & Turf Skillet

Ingredients:

2 ribeye or sirloin steaks about 1-inch thick

8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme or fresh thyme sprigs

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Lemon wedges for serving

Directions:

Prepare the Steaks:

Pat steaks dry with a paper towel.


Season both sides with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.

Sear the Steaks:

Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add steaks and sear for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare or adjust cooking time based on preference.

Reduce heat to medium, add 1 tablespoon butter, 1 clove garlic, and thyme to the skillet.

Baste steaks by spooning the melted butter over them for 1 minute.

Remove steaks from the skillet and let them rest.

Cook the Shrimp:

In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat.

Add garlic, Worcestershire sauce, red pepper flakes if using, and shrimp.

Cook shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.

Serve & Garnish:

Slice steak and arrange with shrimp.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
