Would you eat this Chili Cheese Dog Sandwich ?
Ingredients:
4 hot dog buns
4 beef hot dogs
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
cup diced onions
cup sliced jalapeños optional
1 tablespoon butter, melted
teaspoon garlic powder
For the Chili:
lb ground beef
1 cup tomato sauce
cup beef broth
1 tablespoon tomato paste
teaspoon chili powder
teaspoon cumin
teaspoon paprika
teaspoon salt
teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375F 190C.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add tomato sauce, beef broth, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
While the chili simmers, grill or pan-fry the hot dogs until golden brown.
Brush the hot dog buns with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder. Toast in the oven for 5 minutes.
Place hot dogs in the toasted buns and spoon the chili over each one.
Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and bake for 5 more minutes, until the cheese is melted.
Garnish with diced onions and sliced jalapeños if using. Serve immediately.
