Would you eat this Chili Cheese Dog Sandwich ?
Ingredients:
4 hot dog buns
4 beef or pork hot dogs
1 cup homemade or canned chili
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup diced white onion
1 tablespoon mustard
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 pinch black pepper
Fresh parsley for garnish optional
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350F 180C.
Heat the chili in a saucepan over medium heat until hot.
Cook the hot dogs on a grill or skillet until golden brown and fully cooked.
Lightly brush the hot dog buns with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder and onion powder.
Place a hot dog in each bun, top with a generous portion of hot chili, and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
Bake the loaded hot dogs for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted.
Remove from the oven, top with diced onion, a drizzle of mustard, and a pinch of black pepper.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
