Would you Eat Chocoholic M&M Celebration Cake?

Ingredients:

– 1 cup boiling water

– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

– 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

– 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

– 1/2 cup heavy cream

– 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar

– 1/2 cup vegetable oil

– 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 2 large eggs

– 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder


– 1 cup M&Ms candy

– Sprinkles or additional chocolate chips, optional

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and prep two 9-inch round cake pans by greasing and flouring them.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until blended.

3. Add in the large eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until you achieve a smooth batter.

4. Carefully stir in the boiling water until the batter is well combinedit will be thin, and thats perfect!

5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans. Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes. To check for doneness, insert a toothpick in the centerif it comes out clean, youre good to go!

6. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove them from the pans and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

7. For the decadent frosting, beat the softened unsalted butter in a mixing bowl until its creamy. Gradually add in the powdered sugar and unsweetened cocoa powder, alternating with the heavy cream, and continue beating until smooth. Mix in vanilla extract to finish.

8. Once the cake layers are completely cool, generously frost the tops of one layer with the chocolate frosting before placing the second layer on top. Frost the top and sides of the entire cake.

9. Decorate the cake with M&Ms and add sprinkles or extra chocolate chips as desired. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
