The Hot Brown
Savory Hot Brown
Ingredients:
4 slices white bread
8 slices cooked turkey
4 medium tomatoes, sliced
8 strips bacon, cooked until crispy
2 cups Mornay sauce see directions below
Paprika, for garnish
Directions:
Preheat your broiler on high.
Place 2 slices of bread on each plate.
Top each slice of bread with 2 slices of cooked turkey.
Add a couple of tomato slices on top of the turkey.
Pour the Mornay sauce generously over the tomatoes.
Place 2 strips of crispy bacon on top of each serving.
Sprinkle a pinch of paprika over the top for color.
Place the plates under the broiler until the tops are nicely browned and bubbly, about 2-3 minutes.
Remove from the broiler and serve immediately.
