Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie Ingredients: 1

Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie

Ingredients:

1 9-inch unbaked pie crust

1 cup light corn syrup

1 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

3 large eggs

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups pecan halves

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F 175C.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together corn syrup, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter.

Add in eggs, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth and fully combined.

Stir in pecan halves and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust.

Bake for 5060 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is slightly cracked and puffed. If the crust begins to brown too quickly, cover edges with foil halfway through baking.

Let the pie cool completely before slicing. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
