Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– 1/4 cup honey
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Macaroni & Cheese:
– 2 cups elbow macaroni
– 2 tablespoons butter
– 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
– 2 cups milk
– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
– 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh parsley for garnish
Directions:
1. Marinate the Chicken:
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, hot sauce, crushed red pepper flakes, minced garlic, and black pepper. Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring its well coated. Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes.
2. Cook the Chicken:
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade reserving the marinade and cook the chicken breasts for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and golden brown. Set the cooked chicken aside.
3. Prepare the Sauce:
In the same skillet, add the reserved marinade and bring it to a simmer. Cook for 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly. Drizzle the sauce over the cooked chicken and keep warm.
4. Make the Macaroni & Cheese:
Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux. Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Stir in the cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Toss the cooked macaroni into the sauce, mixing until evenly coated.
5. Serve:
Plate the sweet and spicy honey pepper chicken alongside the creamy macaroni and cheese. Garnish with fresh parsley for a vibrant finish.
