Slow Cooker Ham with Brown Sugar Honey Glaze
Ingredients:
8 lb bone-in spiral cut ham
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Instructions:
Prepare the Slow Cooker:
Lightly coat the slow cooker liner with cooking spray. Place the ham, cut-side down, into the slow cooker, ensuring it fits with the lid on. If necessary, trim a small portion off the top and place it alongside to allow the lid to seal properly.
Make the Glaze:
In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar, honey, water, Dijon mustard, cinnamon, and cloves. Heat over medium, stirring until the brown sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes.
Cook the Ham:
Pour the glaze over the ham in the slow cooker. Cover with the lid and cook on low for 4-6 hours, basting with the juices from the pot every hour. The ham is done when its internal temperature reaches at least 140F 60C.
Optional: Thicken the Glaze:
For a thicker glaze, transfer the juices from the slow cooker to a saucepan once the ham is done. Simmer over medium heat, stirring until the glaze reaches your desired thickness.
Enjoy this juicy and tender Slow Cooker Ham with a perfectly balanced sweet honey and brown sugar glaze, complemented by warm spices!
