Slow Cooker Applesauce
Ingredients:
6-8 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped1/4 cup water1/4 cup brown sugar optional, adjust to taste1 tsp ground cinnamon1/2 tsp ground nutmeg optional1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions:
Place the chopped apples, water, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg if using, and lemon juice into the slow cooker.Stir to combine, then cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until apples are tender.Use a potato masher or immersion blender to mash or puree the applesauce to your desired texture.Let cool before serving or storing in the refrigerator.
