Skillet Chicken Bulgogi: A Savory and Sweet Korean Classic!
Ingredients:
– 500g chicken breast or thighs, thinly sliced
– 1/4 cup soy sauce
– 2 tbsp brown sugar
– 2 tbsp sesame oil
– 1 tbsp gochujang Korean chili paste
– 1 tbsp rice vinegar
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tsp grated ginger
– 1/2 tsp black pepper
– 2 tbsp vegetable oil for frying
– 1 tbsp sesame seeds
– 2 green onions, chopped
Instructions:
1 In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, gochujang, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Stir well to create the marinade.
2 Add the chicken slices to the marinade and mix until fully coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight for deeper flavor.
3 Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
4 Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the chicken. Serve hot with steamed rice and a side of kimchi!
