Rosemary-Cranberry Margarita!

This drink proves why cranberry and rosemary are a perfect match.

Ingredients:

1 ounces blanco tequila

ounce unsweetened cranberry juice

ounce orange liqueur such as Cointreau

ounce fresh lime juice

ounce rosemary simple syrup see instructions below

Ice

For garnish:

Lime wedge

2 teaspoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon kosher salt

Fresh rosemary sprig

Fresh cranberries

Instructions:

Prepare the Rosemary Simple Syrup:

In a small saucepan, combine cup granulated sugar, cup water, and 3 rosemary sprigs.

Bring to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves and the rosemary has wilted, about 810 minutes.

Remove from heat and let cool completely, approximately 20 minutes.

Once cooled, remove the rosemary sprigs. The syrup can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for future use.

Prepare the Glass:

On a small plate, combine 2 teaspoons granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon kosher salt. Using your fingers, rub a few rosemary leaves into the mixture until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass, then dip the rim into the rosemary-infused sugar-salt mixture to coat.

Fill the glass with ice and set aside.

Make the Cocktail:

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the blanco tequila, cranberry juice, orange liqueur, fresh lime juice, and ounce of the prepared rosemary simple syrup.

Shake well until thoroughly chilled, about 20 seconds.

Strain the cocktail into the prepared rocks glass over the ice.

Garnish with a fresh rosemary sprig and cranberries, if desired.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
