Ingredients:

12 oz dark chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips

12 oz white chocolate chips

1/2 tsp peppermint extract optional

6 candy canes, crushed

Instructions:


Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

Melt the Dark Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Add 1/4 tsp peppermint extract if desired.

Spread the Dark Chocolate: Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading evenly to about 1/8-inch thickness. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes until nearly firm.

Melt the White Chocolate: In a new bowl, melt the white chocolate chips the same way, stirring until smooth. Add the remaining 1/4 tsp peppermint extract.

Layer the White Chocolate: Pour the melted white chocolate over the chilled dark chocolate layer, spreading evenly. Sprinkle the crushed candy canes on top and gently press them into the white chocolate.
