Pecan Pie Brownies
These decadent pecan pie brownies combine rich, fudgy brownie layers with a gooey, caramelized pecan pie topping. Perfect for any dessert lover!
Ingredients:
For the Brownies:
1 box brownie mix for a 13×9-inch pan ingredients listed on the package
For the Pecan Pie Filling:
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
4 eggs
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups pecans, roughly chopped
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven according to the brownie mix package instructions.
Prepare Pecan Pie Filling: In a small saucepan, whisk together sugar, corn syrup, eggs, butter, and vanilla extract. Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and cook, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens, about 15 minutes. Once it coats the spoon, stir in chopped pecans and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the filling reaches the consistency of runny oatmealit should be pourable but not too liquid.
Prepare Brownies: Mix the brownies according to package instructions. Pour the brownie batter into a greased 13×9-inch pan and bake for 20 minutes.
