Pecan French Toast
Ingredients:
6 large eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
8 slices of bread preferably day-old or thick slices
1/2 cup chopped pecans
2 tbsp butter, for cooking
Maple syrup for serving
Instructions:
Preheat a griddle or large skillet over medium heat and melt a bit of butter to grease the surface.
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.
Dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated, then cook on the griddle until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Sprinkle pecans over the top of the bread slices while cooking.
Serve warm with maple syrup and extra pecans on top if desired.
