Old Fashioned Apple Crisp
Ingredients:
5-6 cups apples, peeled and sliced
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 large egg unbeaten
1/3 cup melted butter
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Lightly grease a 9 x 9 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Prepare the Apples:
Arrange the peeled and sliced apples evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Make the Topping Mixture:
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and egg. Mix together until the ingredients are well blended and form a crumbly texture.
Assemble the Crisp:
Sprinkle the flour mixture evenly over the apples in the baking dish. Drizzle the melted butter over the top.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the apples are fork-tender and the top is golden brown.
