Ingredients:

– 2 large eggs at room temperature

– 4 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 cup whole milk, heated to about 110 degrees Fahrenheit

– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1/4 cup sugar

– 1 packet 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

– 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

1. In a small bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast in the warm milk. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy. This means the yeast is active and ready to work its magic!

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, and salt. Mix them well to ensure even distribution.

3. Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add the yeast mixture, eggs, and softened butter. Gently mix the ingredients together until a shaggy dough forms.

4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 8-10 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic. If the dough is sticky, sprinkle a little extra flour as needed.

5. Place the kneaded dough into a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and allow it to rise in a warm area for about 1 to 1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.

6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Divide it into equal portions about 12 pieces for rolls. Roll each piece into a smooth ball.

7. Place the rolled dough balls into a greased baking dish, leaving a little space between each for expansion. Cover with the kitchen towel again and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes.

8. Preheat your oven to 375F 190C. Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown on top.

9. Once done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
