Master Pizza Dough

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups warm water 110F/45C

2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast

1 tsp sugar

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 tsp salt

2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions:


In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes foamy.

In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.

Stir until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for 7-10 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.

Preheat oven to 475F 245C.

Punch down the dough, divide it into two portions, and roll out into pizza rounds.

Add your desired toppings and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.
