Love Spell Hibiscus Margarita
Ingredients:
Hibiscus Base:
2 cups water
cup dried hibiscus flowers or 4 hibiscus tea bags
cup sugar or agave syrup adjust to taste
Margarita:
2 oz tequila blanco or reposado
1 oz triple sec or any orange liqueur
1 oz fresh lime juice
2 oz hibiscus base
Ice
Optional Garnishes:
Lime wedges
Edible flowers
Sugared rim or chili powder for rimming
Directions:
Prepare the Hibiscus Base:
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
Add cup dried hibiscus flowers or 4 hibiscus tea bags to the boiling water.
Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
Strain the mixture into a heatproof container to remove the flowers or tea bags.
Stir in cup sugar or agave syrup while the liquid is still warm. Adjust sweetness to taste.
Allow the hibiscus concentrate to cool, then refrigerate until ready to use.
Mix the Margarita:
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz tequila, 2 oz hibiscus base, 1 oz triple sec, and 1 oz fresh lime juice.
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 2030 seconds until well-chilled.
Prepare the Glass:
Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass.
Dip the rim into sugar, salt, or a chili-sugar mix, depending on your preference.
Chill the glass in the freezer for 510 minutes for an extra frosty presentation.
Serve:
Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice.
Strain the margarita mixture into the glass.
Garnish with a lime wedge, edible flower, or a sprinkle of dried hibiscus.
