Homemade Moose Tracks Ice Cream Creamy & Irresistible!
Treat yourself to a delightful blend of creamy ice cream, rich fudge, and sweet peanut butter cups! This dessert promises to tickle your taste buds with every spoonful!
Ingredients:
– 2 cups heavy cream
– 1 cup whole milk
– cup granulated sugar
– cup mini peanut butter cups, chopped
– 1 tbsp vanilla extract
– cup sweetened condensed milk
– cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
– 2 tbsp unsalted butter
– 2 tbsp light corn syrup or honey
– 2 tbsp heavy cream for fudge
– 1 pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Ice Cream Base: In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the mixture is hot but not boiling and the sugar is thoroughly dissolved. Remove from heat, then stir in the sweetened condensed milk. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate it for at least 4 hours or overnight to chill completely.
2. Make the Fudge Swirl: In a small saucepan, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, unsalted butter, heavy cream, and light corn syrup. Heat over low-medium heat, stirring frequently until everything is melted and smooth. Remove from heat and let the fudge mixture cool slightly; it will thicken as it cools down.
3. Churn the Ice Cream: After chilling, pour the ice cream base into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturers instructions, usually about 20-25 minutes, until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
4. Assemble the Moose Tracks Ice Cream: In an airtight container, add a layer of the churned ice cream. Drizzle some of the fudge swirl over this layer and sprinkle with a generous amount of chopped peanut butter cups. Repeat the layering process until youve used all the ice cream, fudge, and peanut butter cups. Use a spoon or knife to gently swirl the fudge into the ice cream, but avoid completely mixing it.
5. Freeze the Ice Cream: Cover the container with a lid or plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for at least 4 hours or overnight until the ice cream is fully set.
6. Serve and Enjoy: Scoop the delectable Moose Tracks Ice Cream into bowls or cones and revel in each creamy, chocolatey, peanut buttery bite!
