Homemade Banana Donut Holes Recipe

2 ripe bananas, mashed
1 cup 125g self-rising flour
Optional Toppings:

Step 1: Prepare the Dough
In a medium bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
Add the self-rising flour to the mashed bananas and mix until a thick, sticky dough forms. Avoid overmixing.
Step 2: Heat the Oil
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or pot over medium heat to 350F 175C. Use a thermometer for accuracy, or test by dropping a small piece of dough into the oilit should sizzle and float to the surface.
Step 3: Shape and Fry
Using a small spoon or cookie scoop, drop small portions of the dough into the hot oil. Wet your hands or the scoop with water to prevent sticking.
Fry the donut holes in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Use a slotted spoon to transfer the donut holes to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Step 4: Add Toppings
While the donut holes are still warm, roll them in granulated sugar, cinnamon sugar, or powdered sugar for a sweet coating.

Tips
If you dont have self-rising flour, make your own by combining 1 cup of all-purpose flour with 1 1/2 tsp of baking powder and 1/4 tsp of salt.
For a healthier option, bake the donut holes in a preheated oven at 375F 190C for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
