Herb-Infused Olive Oil Dip with Freshly Baked Warm Bread

Ingredients:

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil high-quality for best flavor

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional for heat

1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese optional

1 teaspoon fresh lemon zest

1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil or parsley

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper


Warm artisan bread, sliced such as ciabatta or baguette

Directions:

In a small serving bowl, pour the extra virgin olive oil.

Add minced garlic, oregano, thyme, and crushed red pepper flakes to the oil.

Stir in balsamic vinegar and mix well to combine the flavors.

Sprinkle in grated Parmesan cheese, lemon zest, fresh basil, salt, and black pepper.

Let the dip sit for 10-15 minutes at room temperature to allow the flavors to meld.

Meanwhile, warm the artisan bread in the oven at 350F 175C for about 5 minutes, or until soft and lightly crispy on the outside.

Serve the warm bread alongside the olive oil dip and enjoy immediately.
