Grilled Beef, Tomato, and Avocado Rice Bowl 陋
Ingredients:
– 1 ripe avocado, sliced
– 1 pound flank steak or skirt steak
– 1 cup sushi rice
– 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– 1 teaspoon sugar
– 1 teaspoon olive oil
– 1 1/4 cups water
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh cilantro, chopped
– 1 tomato, diced
– Sriracha sauce optional
Instructions:
1. Cook the rice by rinsing it until the water runs clear. Combine the sushi rice with the 1 1/4 cups of water in a rice cooker or pot. Cook according to the package instructions. Once done, stir in rice vinegar, sugar, and salt, fluffing it with a fork.
2. Prepare the steak by mixing soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and olive oil in a small bowl. Marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes. Grill the steak to your preferred level of doneness, then slice it thin.
3. Assemble the bowls by dividing the cooked rice among them. Top each bowl with slices of grilled steak, avocado, diced tomato, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro. Drizzle with sriracha sauce if youre feeling spicy!
Tips:
– For an extra kick, sprinkle red pepper flakes into the marinade.
– Substitute the steak with grilled chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
– To add more flavor to the rice, mix in a teaspoon of sesame oil during cooking.
