Ingredients:
2 large apples Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 tbsp baking powder 療
1/2 tsp salt 蓼
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup milk 拏
1 large egg 讀
1 tsp vanilla extract
Oil for frying
For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Directions:
Prepare the Apples: Core and slice apples into 1/4-inch thick rings, removing seeds.
Make the Batter: Whisk flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in one bowl. In another, mix milk, egg, and vanilla. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed; the batter should be thick.
Heat the Oil: Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep skillet to 350F 175C.
Coat the Apple Rings: Dip each ring into the batter, ensuring full coverage, and carefully place them in the hot oil, frying in batches.
