DONT LOSE THIS – Grinch Cookies
Ingredients:
1 box vanilla cake mix
cup unsalted butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
Green gel food coloring
Powdered sugar for rolling
Red heart-shaped candies
Directions:
Preheat the oven:
Set the oven to 350F 175C. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Make the dough:
In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, softened butter, vanilla, and eggs. Mix until a soft dough forms. Add green gel food coloring, a few drops at a time, until the dough reaches the desired shade of green.
Shape and coat:
Scoop out tablespoons of dough and roll into balls. Coat each ball in powdered sugar before placing them on the prepared baking sheets.
Bake:
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are set. Press a red heart candy onto the center of each cookie immediately after removing them from the oven. Cool completely.
