Decadent Chocolate Cherry Cake
Ingredients for the Cake:
1 cups all-purpose flour
cup cocoa powder
2 cups sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup whole milk
cup vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
Ingredients for Chocolate Frosting:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
cup cocoa powder
cup heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
Ingredients for Ganache & Topping:
1 cup dark chocolate chips
cup heavy cream
Fresh cherries for garnish

Instructions:
1. Prepare the Cake Layers:
Preheat oven to 350F 175C. Grease and line two 9-inch round pans.
In a large bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix well. Gradually add boiling water batter will be thin.
Divide batter between pans and bake for 30-35 minutes. Let cool completely.
2. Make the Frosting:
Beat butter until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar and cocoa powder.
Mix in heavy cream and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
3. Layer the Cake:
Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread frosting evenly. Repeat with the second layer and cover the entire cake.
4. Prepare Ganache:
Heat heavy cream until steaming dont boil. Pour over chocolate chips. Let sit for 2 minutes, then whisk until smooth.
Drizzle ganache over the cake, letting it drip down the sides.
5. Garnish:
Decorate with fresh cherries on top for a stunning finish!
