Cheesy Meatloaf with Onion Gravy Recipe 燎
Ingredients:
500g ground beef
1 onion chopped
2 garlic cloves minced
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 cup grated cheese Mozzarella or your favorite type
1 tbsp parsley for garnish
For the Onion Gravy:
2 onions sliced
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
2 cups beef broth
1 tbsp soy sauce
Instructions:
1 Preheat your oven to 180C 350F.
2 Prepare the meatloaf:
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika until well combined.
Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
3 Bake the meatloaf:
Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.
Remove from the oven, sprinkle grated cheese over the top, and bake for another 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.
4 Make the onion gravy:
In a pan, melt butter and sauté sliced onions until golden and caramelized.
Sprinkle flour over the onions and stir well.
Gradually add beef broth while stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
Add soy sauce and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
5 Serve:
Place the meatloaf on a plate, pour the onion gravy generously over it, and garnish with fresh parsley.
