Ingredients:

For the Chicken:

8 chicken drumsticks

2 cups buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cornstarch

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and black pepper to taste

Oil for frying

For the Fries:

4 large potatoes, cut into fries

Salt and parsley for garnish

Oil for frying

For the Honey Mustard Dip:

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard


2 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions:

1. Marinate the Chicken:

In a bowl, marinate the chicken drumsticks in buttermilk for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.

2. Prepare the Coating:

In a shallow dish, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

3. Fry the Chicken:

Heat oil in a deep frying pan to 175C 350F.

Remove chicken from buttermilk, coat thoroughly in the flour mixture, and fry until golden and fully cooked 12-15 minutes. Place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

4. Cook the Fries:

Fry the potatoes in hot oil until golden and crispy. Sprinkle with salt and parsley.

5. Make the Dip:

In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, and lemon juice.

6. Serve:

Arrange the fried chicken and fries on a plate, and serve with the honey mustard dip on the side.
