Classic Biscotti
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour1 tsp baking powder1/4 tsp salt1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened3/4 cup granulated sugar3 large eggs1 tsp vanilla extract1/2 tsp almond extract optional1/2 cup sliced almonds or your favorite add-ins optional
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F 175C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla and almond extract.Gradually mix in dry ingredients to form a dough. Add sliced almonds or other mix-ins if desired.Divide the dough in half and shape into two logs on the prepared baking sheet.Bake for 25-30 minutes, then allow logs to cool for 5-10 minutes. Slice diagonally into biscotti pieces.Place slices back on the baking sheet and bake for another 10-15 minutes until firm and golden.
Serve with coffee, tea, or your favorite hot drink for a satisfying crunch!
