Christmas Ornament Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
tsp baking powder
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cups granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
Assorted food coloring
Decorative sprinkles or icing pens
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375F 190C.
2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
3. In another large bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth.
4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients to form a dough.
6. Divide the dough and mix in different food colorings for each portion.
7. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about -inch thickness.
8. Cut out shapes with ornament-shaped cookie cutters.
9. Place cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
10. Bake for 810 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
11. Cool completely, then decorate with sprinkles or icing pens.
