Christmas Cookie Bars

Festive cookie bars filled with chocolate chips, M&Ms, pretzels, caramels, and holiday sprinkles! Perfectly soft, chewy, and ideal for holiday parties or as a sweet gift.

Ingredients

For the Cookie Dough:

3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted 杻

3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg 1 yolk 讀

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking soda 籠

1/4 teaspoon baking powder 療

1/2 teaspoon salt 蓼

2 cups all-purpose flour add 1/4 cup more if dough is too runny

Mix-Ins Total 2 Cups:


1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup red & green M&Ms

1/2 cup pretzels, broken into pieces 泌

1/2 cup chewy caramels, chopped

2 tablespoons holiday sprinkles

Instructions

1 Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350F 175C and grease or line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.

2 Chop Caramels: Cut each caramel into smaller pieces.

3 Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter 20-30 seconds. Add both sugars and mix, then add egg, yolk, and vanilla until combined.

4 Add Dry Ingredients: Stir in baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add flour and mix. If too runny, let sit for 5 minutes or add 1/4 cup more flour.

5 Add the Mix-Ins: Stir in chocolate chips, M&Ms, pretzels, caramels, and sprinkles.

6 Press and Bake: Press dough into the prepared pan and top with extra mix-ins. Bake for 16-18 minutes, or until edges are golden and center is set.

7 Cool and Slice: Cool completely before slicing into squares.
