Cheesy, Meaty, Stuffed Bread Loaded with All Your Favorite Fillings
Ingredients:
1 loaf of refrigerated pizza dough or homemade dough
1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
1 cup pepperoni slices
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sautéed onions
1/2 cup sautéed bell peppers
1/4 cup sliced black olives
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 egg, beaten for egg wash
Marinara sauce, for dipping
Directions:
Preheat and Prepare:
Preheat oven to 375F 190C.
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about 12×16 inches.
Cook the Filling:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or sausage until browned. Drain excess grease.
Add minced garlic, sautéed onions, bell peppers, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Season with salt and pepper.
Assemble the Bread:
Spread the meat mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Sprinkle mozzarella, cheddar, pepperoni slices, and black olives on top of the meat mixture.
Roll and Seal:
Carefully roll the dough lengthwise like a jelly roll. Pinch the edges to seal and tuck in the ends.
Place the roll seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden crust.
Bake and Serve:
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
