Ingredients:
– 500g Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
– 2 tbsp olive oil
– 1 tbsp honey
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/4 tsp black pepper
– 1/4 cup pistachios, chopped
– 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar optional
– 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped optional
Instructions:
1 In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the Brussels sprouts, cut-side down, and cook for 5-7 minutes, until they begin to caramelize and turn golden brown.
2 Drizzle honey over the Brussels sprouts and toss to coat. Continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sprouts are tender and caramelized.
3 Season with salt and pepper to taste, then sprinkle in the chopped pistachios and stir well.
4 For an extra layer of flavor, drizzle balsamic vinegar over the sprouts just before serving.
