BLT Pizza
Ingredients:
1 batch pizza dough homemade or store-bought
1/2 cup pizza sauce or ranch dressing
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
4 strips bacon or turkey bacon for a lighter option, cooked and crumbled
1 cup Romaine lettuce, chopped
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 475F 245C.
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and transfer to a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.
Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce or ranch dressing over the dough.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
Add crumbled bacon on top of the cheese and bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
While the pizza bakes, prepare the toppings by mixing chopped lettuce and cherry tomatoes in a bowl.
After baking, remove the pizza from the oven, then top it with the fresh lettuce and tomato mixture.
Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Slice and serve!
