Blood Orange Margarita
Ingredients:
2 oz good-quality tequila
2 oz blood orange juice about two small oranges
1 oz triple sec
1 oz lime juice
1 oz simple syrup
Ice cubes
Salt or sugar for rimming optional
Blood orange slice or lime wedge for garnish
Directions:
Prepare the Glass:
If desired, rim the edge of a glass with salt or sugar. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim and dip it into a small plate of salt or sugar.
Fill the glass with ice.
Mix the Drink:
In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, blood orange juice, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup.
Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
Serve:
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
Garnish:
Add a blood orange slice or lime wedge for a beautiful finishing touch.
