Baked Teriyaki Chicken
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
1/2 tsp cornstarch optional, for thickening sauce
Sesame seeds for garnish optional
Green onions, chopped for garnish optional
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375F 190C.
In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens. If youd like a thicker sauce, whisk in cornstarch and cook for another 2 minutes.
Place chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165F 74C and the chicken is cooked through.
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
Serve it over steamed rice or with your favorite side dishes for a complete meal!
