Baked Brie in Bread Bowl with Cranberry Sauce and Thyme

Ingredients:

1 round loaf of sourdough or boule bread

1 wheel of brie cheese about 8 oz 燎

cup cranberry sauce homemade or store-bought

Fresh thyme sprigs

1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

Instructions:

1 Prep Bread Bowl:


Preheat oven to 350F 175C. Slice the top off the bread loaf and hollow out the center to create a bowl that fits the brie wheel snugly.

2 Assemble:

Place the brie wheel into the bread bowl. Spoon cranberry sauce over the top of the brie and layer with fresh thyme sprigs.

3 Bake:

Brush the edges of the bread bowl with olive oil or melted butter. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until the brie is gooey and the bread is golden brown.

4 Finish & Serve:

Garnish with extra thyme sprigs for a fresh, herby finish. Serve warm with bread chunks, crackers, or veggie sticks for dipping.
