Apple Cranberry Coleslaw
This refreshing, tangy coleslaw combines crisp apples, dried cranberries, and a creamy, slightly sweet dressing. Its perfect for holiday gatherings or as a fresh side dish with grilled meats!
Ingredients:
For the Coleslaw:
4 cups shredded green cabbage
1 large apple, thinly sliced Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup shredded carrots 凌
1/4 cup sliced almonds optional, for crunch
For the Dressing:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt 蓼
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
Prepare the Coleslaw Base: In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, thinly sliced apple, dried cranberries, shredded carrots, and sliced almonds if using. Toss gently to mix the ingredients evenly.
Make the Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper until the dressing is smooth and creamy.
Combine and Chill: Pour the dressing over the coleslaw mixture and toss until all the ingredients are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
