Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust
Ingredients:
2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
1 1/2 cups warm water 110F/45C
1 tsp honey or sugar
3 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
In a bowl, dissolve yeast and honey or sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, until foamy.
In a separate large bowl, mix whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, and salt.
Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 7-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 475F 245C.
Punch down the dough and roll it out to your desired shape.
Add your favorite toppings and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden.
