Amazing Forgotten Chicken
Ingredients:
4 chicken thighs or drumsticks bone-in, skin-on
1 cup long-grain white rice
1 can 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 packet dry onion soup mix
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Directions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Prepare the Rice Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the rice, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, and paprika. Stir until well combined. Pour the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Add Chicken: Place the chicken thighs or drumsticks on top of the rice mixture. Sprinkle with the dry onion soup mix, and season with salt and pepper.
Bake: Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Remove the foil during the last 10 minutes of baking to allow the chicken to brown slightly.
Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
