Algerian Kefta Meatballs
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef or lamb
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Olive oil for frying
Instructions:
1 In a large bowl, combine the ground beef or lamb, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
2 Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
3 Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the meatballs in batches for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until they are golden and cooked through.
4 Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
5 Serve with couscous, rice, or in a sandwich with your favorite sauce.
